FAQ

Where can I download TradingView watchlists?
Right here, free. Pick an asset class in the Watchlist Builder (stocks, funds and ETFs, futures, forex, crypto, indices, bonds, economic data or options), narrow it by exchange, country, sector or type, and download a .txt file with the exact TradingView symbols. The list comes from more than 840,000 symbols and is refreshed every week. Importing a file needs a paid TradingView plan.
Can I get a TradingView watchlist of stocks by sector?
Yes. Choose Stocks, then a country and any of TradingView's 21 sectors, such as Technology Services, Finance or Health Technology, and download the list. You can also filter by type: common stock, preferred stock, depositary receipts, warrants and pre-IPO.
Can I download a crypto watchlist for one exchange?
Yes. Choose Crypto, pick the exchange (Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, OKX, Bybit and about 100 others) and spot or perpetual pairs, and download every pair that exchange lists on TradingView. Use the search box to keep only one quote currency, such as USDT.
How do I share or bookmark a watchlist?
Every choice you make in the builder is saved in the page address, for example chartwatch.tv/?list=crypto&exchanges=Binance&crypto-types=Spot. Copy the link to share the exact list, and it always loads the latest symbols.
What is ChartWatch?
ChartWatch is a free, independent toolkit for TradingView users. It builds TradingView watchlists from over 840,000 symbols and exports them as a .txt file you can import straight into TradingView, and adds the tools around it: a forex dashboard, economic calendar with calendar subscriptions, central bank dates and interest rates, a COT report dashboard, currency strength and correlation, a trade plan builder, a trading journal, an alert and webhook builder, a chart palette generator and free trading calculators.
Is ChartWatch free?
Yes, completely. There's no account, no sign-up and no paywall. Build watchlists, generate chart palettes and download as much as you want at no cost.
Do I need an account to use ChartWatch?
No. ChartWatch requires no registration or login — every feature works without an account.
How do I import a watchlist into TradingView?
Pick an asset class and filters in the Watchlist Builder, click Generate & Download to save a .txt file, then in TradingView open the watchlist panel, click the watchlist name, choose "Upload list…" and select your file. The symbols load instantly. Uploading lists needs a paid TradingView plan (Essential or higher); the free Basic plan shows an upgrade prompt. Full watchlist guide →
How many symbols can a TradingView watchlist hold?
Paid TradingView plans allow up to 1,000 symbols per watchlist; the free Basic plan allows 30. If your selection is larger, split it into several .txt files and import them as separate lists. ChartWatch shows a warning automatically whenever your selection exceeds 1,000.
Which markets and asset classes does ChartWatch cover?
Nine asset classes — crypto, stocks, forex, futures, indices, bonds, funds, options and economy — totalling more than 840,000 symbols, each mapped to its correct TradingView ticker format.
How often is the symbol data updated?
The symbol database is refreshed regularly so new listings and ticker changes are captured.
Can I customise my TradingView chart colours?
Yes — the Chart Palette tool generates a full TradingView colour theme around a single base hue, so the background, grid and candles always work together. Pick a style, generate, fine-tune each colour and opacity, then copy the hex codes into TradingView's chart settings.
Does ChartWatch store my data?
ChartWatch needs no account and asks for no personal details. Your inputs stay in your browser. Standard server logs are kept, and the site uses Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which set cookies. Full details are on the Privacy page.
